News Summer 2015
We just got a new website on July 16th! Hooray!
Freshman Orientation is also coming soon, so we need volunteers to help pass out flyers! If you're interested please email us at [email protected] !
If you're an incoming freshman, no need to worry! High school may seem all big and high and mighty, but it's really not. It's just a bunch of kids who feel just as awkward as you do. Please not be scared or shy. You think it's going to be a huge deal, but this is only a single part of your whole entire life. You'll remember high school forever, but don't be scared! You'll meet people you haven't talked to since you were little, and you'll get a lot more freedom too. We are all humans, and we all wanted to pee our pants the first day of high school. Sure, it's hard sometimes. Things may not go the way you planned. Your close friends now may drift off, but there' s a whole new world you're about to explore, along with new friends who wait for you, and who will help you on your way to graduation.
Our booth will be set up at Freshman Orientation the entire day. So if you feel like dropping by for a chat, feel free! If you want to linger from a distance and stare, that's alright too. After all, it's really hard for people to walk up to our booth. It may seem intimidating, I know it was for a lot of officers, including the one writing this. If you don't feel comfortable, please don't push yourself. You're a precious freshman, so you have time to check out or club.
Don't forget, it's only the very start of your life. Stay calm, you'll get through this, and you'll have your friends to help you.
